May Learning Cirlce
May 29, 2020

We have moved our learning circles online to help keep our community safe and now more than ever are looking forward to supporting further connection among those working for food systems and community transformation. The Center hosts learning circles in an effort to create space for interdisciplinary dialogue, reflection, and collaboration toward the Center’s aims.

It is our hope that these discussions build capacity across campus and the broader community.

**The theme for May is land sovereignty and higher education**

What land legacies do our institutions hold? How do these legacies of expropriation and disenfranchisement continue to operate within our work? How can we utilize antiracist practice to help promote healing? To frame our discussion, we'll use the following articles: Land Grab Universities from High Country News and Ask Who Paid for America's Universities from the New York Times (both by Robert Lee and Tristan Ahtone). You do not need to have read the articles to attend and participate in the discussion.

For more information about what our learning circles are visit this page.
