Bio: Arogeanae is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Agricultural Leadership and Community Education at Virginia Tech.  During her master’s program she conducted research in interest of passion, investigating and understanding the motivations and missions of African American-led non-profit organizations that serve predominantly African American youth by providing educational spaces with an emphasis on agriculture and its sciences. Her love for exploration and travel has expanded her research interests to include studying African American agricultural non-profit programs that have extended their work abroad to Africa. Arogeanae’s research seeks to understand the impact and effectiveness of these programs in an international context, furthering her dedication to agricultural education and community development on a global scale.
